Jay Lantrip, owner and founder of Noonday Textiles began using hemp fabrics for her Jennifer Joy Creative line of clothing a few years back. She began hand-dyeing her own fabrics and soon the studio was busting at the seams with beautiful colors and textures. Noonday Textiles was born out of the desire to share eco-friendly sustainable fabrics (and lets be honest, to make a little room).
Located smack in the middle of the mitten state, in Okemos, Mich., Jay’s home is surrounded by lush forest and life-sustaining farms that remind her how important it is to take care of our surroundings. All fibers are hand dyed using low impact fiber reactive dyes and minimal water.
Jay believes its crucial to be a role model for future generations in being an independant business owner supporting fair trade practices and eco-friendly living.
Thanks for supporting independant artists and stay-at-home mamas!
